I really enjoyed my experience at Grange. We came here for dine downtown and found the portions to be very large and filling, the food delicious, and the service excellent. All the staff was very friendly and accommodating. I got the chicory salad and I thought the dressing was super tasty, the fish stew was hearty though I felt there was too much aoli, and the creme brûlée was so yummy! I've always liked the space of Grange. It's very hip and modern.
Visited in New Year's Day. Appreciated the handwritten card from the staff for our anniversary. Started with the gnocchi- so good! Surprising combo with the grapes and blue cheese but I would definitely order this again I had the short rib and my bf had the short rib pasta- both were a little salty. I really liked the parsnip puree though and the short rib was perfectly cooked. Tried the s'mores dessert- way too sweet. Would've preferred it's without the caramel. Location is obviously beautiful
Grange Restaurant delivered an exceptional brunch experience! The Egg White Frittata was light and flavorful, packed with fresh vegetables, while the Carnitas Eggs Benedict was a perfect blend of tender, smoky carnitas, poached eggs, and rich hollandaise. Both dishes were beautifully presented and delicious. Service was top-notch--attentive, friendly, and knowledgeable without being overbearing. The ambiance strikes the perfect balance between upscale and welcoming, with a warm, modern vibe that's great for any occasion.
The Grange is my go-to breakfast/brunch experience in Downtown Sacramento for a few reasons. First, although the prices at the Grange are a bit higher than those at the typical breakfast/brunch spots in the area, the short wait times and great service completely make up for the higher prices. Second, their two-egg breakfast, French toast, and pancakes are consistently good. I can expect a great meal every time. They used to have incredible biscuits, but they no longer appear on the menu. Hopefully, these biscuits will make a return. In the meantime, I'll have to settle for an English muffin. Third, the service is fantastic. This is the area that sets this restaurant apart from most other locations. The servers here seem to pay more attention than at different places. They check in from time to time but don't hover. I never feel rushed here. Fourth, given that there isn't a long line during the breakfast/brunch hours there is plenty of seating and the staff has always been accommodating when it comes to seating preferences. Seating preferences are difficult to accommodate in other restaurants due to their limited seating arrangements and smaller sizes, but not only are the servers accommodating here but the seats are comfortable as well. Check em out and ask for the biscuits. Who knows maybe they are back on the menu.
If you know, you know! Just in case you don't, let me explain..5th and final stop on tour. The Grange has a very chilled vibe. This was the sweet spot!! DESSERT!! I decided to try the Granny Smith Apple Cheesecake which was a winner. It was full of flavor and the caramel made it even better. We were also had champagne (added bonus). The staff and service good. Please follow Rhonda K. to get her reviews on the tour.
The vibes were immaculate and the establishment is SO COOL. All the servers and bartenders were amazing and so conversational, they even wrote us a list of local recommendations. My partners pork chops were phenomenal and whatever was underneath...I'll eat that as my death row meal (kidding but not) The drinks were killer My one gripeeee...the truffle pasta tasted like nothing but butter that maybe passed within a blocks distance of a truffle. It desperately needed salt and I added lemon too and it was fine but wouldn't get again
What an experience. Such a great classy & elegant restaurant. My group was seated upstairs in a party room and it fit all 14 of us comfortably. Francisco worked with our group & he was fantastic. Very attentive, charismatic & helpful. The food was delicious. My favorite was the strip steak, salmon, burger and deviled eggs. The dessert was yummy, but the big surprise is the whip cream. The chef made some whip cream for the table & the chocolate one could have been a dessert on its own, it was phenomenal. What a great experience.
Quick side of fries before heading back to City Hall. The Grange is always ideal for business meetings, quick stop ins, good social hour picks. Hummas amd flat bread Tamara was so sweet and kind to bring over a complimentary bread and cheese dish. Always a treat to have kind and considerate waitresses. Five Star in my book. Ambiance was Holiday cheer warm and cozy. Great time to share with others at the Grange.
Had a dinner out at the Grange before a show last night. The service was excellent, the server and other staff were great. It's expensive, but you get what you pay for. The food was excellent, we had the ahi starter to split, and then we both had the trout and thought it was delicious. We're not big wine drinkers but what we ordered from the bar was excellent. Be sure to check out the art on the way to the bathroom and if you get a chance, ride the elevator and see the hotel. It's a great piece of Sacramento history.
